I was given the task to combine 2 existing tools into 1 fully functioning tool. A trowel and scissors were my items.
Above is my final result for the combined item. One of the sides of the trowel/scissors is slightly lifted so the sharp edges of the blade don't hit against each other, effectively damaging/dulling out the blade. The right image are other iterations, based around other items that are similar to trowels and scissors; some of those iterations include shovels, pliers, pruning shears, and hedge trimmers.
